14 Scouts and 4 Explorers took part in the 2011 Annual camp from 25 July - 8 August, which was centred on the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. The party also stayed at Chateau de Jambville near Paris and at Gilwell. The expedition was conducted jointly with 6th Morecambe Guides.

There was a very full programme of activities including walking in the high alps, cycling, camp fires, swimming, toboggan run, international contacts and visits to Bern, the summit of the Niesen mountain, Oeschinensee and to the Jungfraujoch.

Whilst in Paris we visited the Eiffel Tower, the Champs Elysees and also enjoyed a spectacular day at Disneyland Paris.

At Kandersteg we took part in the Swiss National Day celebrations involving a multi-national breakfast and carnival, a parade into the village and a grand firework display.

The weather was a little mixed with some heavy showers interspersed with sunny periods.
